Your privacy is important to us. It is the policy of Alpha Cherry Co. (“Snap Loyalty”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our platform, websites, and other applications we own and operate.


1. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information when it is necessary to provide our service. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent.

A. Business User Information (Your Data) When you create a business account, we may collect:

  • Identity & Login Data: Your name, business name, and email address. If you choose to use Google OAuth for registration or login, we receive a unique Google ID and your email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Subscription & Payment Data: Payment details are handled securely by our third-party processor (e.g., Apple). We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
  • Usage Data: Technical data such as IP address, device type, and platform activity to improve performance and security.

B. Customer Data (The data you enter) As part of the loyalty service, you may enter limited information about your customers. To protect privacy, our system is designed for data minimization:

  • Required Fields: We only request customer First Names, Phone Numbers, and Month/Day of Birth.
  • Data Limitation: We do not collect or store birth years or last names. If you enter full names into the “First Name” field, you acknowledge you are providing data beyond the system’s intended design.

2. SMS/Text Messaging

We value your privacy regarding our SMS marketing service. We use information provided to send text notifications (such as points balances), marketing offers, and transactional texts.

  • Non-Sharing: Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, sold, or rented to any third parties for their own marketing purposes.


3. Data Processor vs. Data Controller

In the context of your customers’ data (the people earning points), Snap Loyalty acts as a Data Processor and you, the business owner, act as the Data Controller.

  • Your Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have obtained consent from your customers to collect and share their data with us under applicable laws (including BC PIPA and PIPEDA in Canada).
  • Our Responsibility: We process this data only in accordance with your instructions through the platform’s features and maintain commercially reasonable safeguards to protect it.

4. Data Retention & Inactive Accounts

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide services or as required by law.

  • Inactive Accounts: If a business account remains inactive for 24 continuous months and has no active subscription, we may permanently delete the account and all associated personal data.
  • Definition: “Inactivity” is defined as a period with zero loyalty activity (points earned or redeemed) by any customers associated with the business.

5. Data Sharing & Security

We do not share personally identifying information publicly or with third parties, except:

  • With trusted service providers (cloud hosting, SMS gateways, payment processors) necessary for service delivery.
  • To comply with a legal obligation or a government request.
  • In the event of a business merger or sale.

Security: We protect your data using industry-standard measures (including encryption of sensitive fields) to prevent unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.


6. Your Rights & Contact

You have the right to access, update, or delete your information. As we are headquartered in British Columbia, Canada, we adhere to the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
